hi guys, any of you have ever listened this model of cdp?

Hi I had the original Naim CD5i for a couple of years.also had a CD5/Hicap.If i ever went back to a cdp i would get another 5i,it will make your foot tap,if that is what you want :D

Cant remember, apart from it was in the 90's and in early days when I came back around 2005. Dealers and users in the 90's and a user who had one with a NVA system in 2005. I don't like CD players but from what I heard they were good, not the Naim sound at all.

I've got rid of a CDI for the TFS. I've a friend who got rid of his CDS2 in favour of a Cambridge Azure (840c I think, but he still has his LP12). Never heard Arcam, so can't comment. I guess what I'm saying that there are other CD Players which are better value than NAIM.
Having said that, the CDI was better sounding than a lot of other CD players at the time.
