Hi all,

was wondering if I could gain some assistance from your collective knowledge on the most logical NVA upgrade path.

I have an NVA AP30 amp I purchased in the late 80's which has stead me in good stead all these years and still love.

I now mainly listen to music via online streaming services via my Audiolab M-Dac Mk1 and have recently upgraded all connections to SSP and wondered which path would further enhance my listening pleasure in order of best musical gain to cost ratio.

Please be patient with me as I'm new to this forum stuff but your views,suggestions and opinions would be gratefully received.

Cubettes / cubes ?

I was surprised with the improvements gained by changing from LS2 to LS5 speaker cable - and I was a bit sceptical about cable effects.

Try a BMU - could be an ear opener depending on the quality of your mains.

LS6 speaker cables are superb, imo.

I also have an 80's metal-case NVA pre/power amp which is still going strong. However I was seriously impressed by the sonic improvements gained by renewing the set to P50sa and Mk2 A40 monoblocks.

Cable upgrades are also a must with NVA, but a newer version amp will help.

Cables! Huge improvements as you go up the range. Interconnects first then speaker cable. Keep the old stuff handy and go back to it after a week or so. You'll be shocked

I recently replaced my LS1 with some secondhand LS5. Everything sounds so musical now and I didn't think it wasn't before!

Very good advice for a start,it made quite a difference for me...

Any chance of you giving a serious trial to speakers that aren't tiny budget 2 way ported speakers?
