My Cube 2's sit on Ash stands. There is just the one center pillar which is 3/4 filled with metal shot. I made a f:ew measurements and found the tweeters to be a bit below ear height. I decided to tilt them back slightly using 10mm shims under the front.two spikes. This has definitely made improvementa and my music sounds evem better. Has amyone else tried this and got benefits.

Don't do this IMO, though I haven't done it. Put a paving slab under the stand to lift it, you are changing the design.

A basic principle of the design is that bass frequencies drive straight into the ground *in phase*. Point and squirts change that coupling by 90degs, completely messes up timing and makes the stand all important to try and get rigidity. Cubes just pump downward *think about it*. Change that angle in any way even a small amount messes this up and create phase anomalies and energy store and release in the stand, you don't want it.

Ok Doc will try and raise it equally. Cheers for the explanation. Makes sense.

The advice is right but, before moving the speaker up and down, gauge the effect by sitting taller or shorter in your seat. Assuming you dont surround your ears with seat padding it should give you some clues before you do the hard work.

I've found that Cubes can react on height and distance from ceiling. My Cube3 needed to be higher than the Cube2 for best effect.

Trial and error - see if raising/lowering the speakers changes anything. Every space is different and creates its own acoustic.

Yeah thanks good advice guys my ceilings are quite high too about 91/2 to 10 feet. That is partly why I may need them higher.
