speaker cable advice

Unread post by baitrunner »

Hi. I have just purchased a used A30 stereo amp, a pair of A40 mono's and a P50 pre amp from a guy on ebay as a job lot.
I use a pair of Neat Motive 2 speakers and would need 7 mtr and 5 mtr pairs of speaker cable to biamp .
Which NVA speaker cable would you recommend to use . To test the amps would it be safe to use my existing Avondale Blacklink .
Many Thanks Lew

I don't know the cable so I would have to say no. But unless it is Litz or high cap I doubt it would hurt the amps, very few cables do. It is mostly a synergy thing both musically and technically.

LS1 or 3 for treble amp and LS5 or 6 for bass/mid amp. Though all LS6 will be better but if budget is tight you can grow into that by trade in in the future.

I didn't even see the listing. I like people getting bargains, especially me.

Hi Richard. Thank you for your advice. Now checked , amps are working ok. From the little i have listened i would like to say i am impressed . The spin off is you now get to sell me some cables . Decided to order one set of LS1 and an interconnect for now, just to see if NVA is the end game for me . I take it i just order from your ebay site . If i decide i am happy without bi amping i will let Latteman
know i am selling one or the other of the power amps. Many thanks again. Lew

Just order at ebay. But you should stretch to LS3 if you can.
