Cube options

Hi, before a further tinker or even request a loan of a pair of cubes to listen to I would like some advice on which would be more appropriate to the level of equipment I have.
I have a p50 into 2 A20s sound cords between with Ls1 to the tweeters and Ls2 to bass/mids in a pair of linn helix speakers- these do actually sound good to me- I lined the inside with ceramic tiles and blocked the bass port. Crossovers and wiring as standard. Should I do a full “Doc” mod with drivers n crossovers or just go for a pair of cubes- either cubettes or cube 3
Cheers for suggestions

I have doc modded point & squirt speakers and a pair of diy semi omni with docs drivers (like cubes).

This is only my opinion and my personal taste but i much prefer the semi omni experience rather than having everything fired at you. I would not bother doc modding the helix. Get a loan pair of cubes i dont think you will regret it. If you doc mod the helix you will most likely get the urge to hear the cube design and end up getting them anyway.

All imo of course.

I have Cube 2 speakers and they blow away anything I have heard before in my opinion. They allow the music to get better with every change I have made to the rest of my system. The change from LS5 to LS6 was a real eye opener. It was a huge step up. My music went from sounding very good to sounding incredible especially in the bass. Never heard so much detail and texture before I am a huge Stranglers fan and JJ's bass cabinet now sounds like it is set up in my front room. Cubes are magical.

The same with Cube 3s in my system. I have since upgraded to Chord Qutest, P90SA TIS and TSCS and every change has been very noticable. I was particularly struck by TIS and TSCS. Did not expect cables to make such a difference. The Cubes let it come through.

Thanks for the replies
It will be either cubettes or the cube 3, the decision will probably be ££££ based
The linn helix offer a “big” sound I don’t want to lose, so should it be the 3s?

In case you hadn't noticed https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPECIAL-OFFE ... Sw7kVbKSht

These are the last two pairs of the first batch as I was leaning to make them (trying different cabinet linings, not for sound but for ease of doing) so I am selling them at a 10% discount.
