I replaced the MDF plinths on my Rega R3 loudspeakers with 19mm thick clear acrylic ones a few years ago, on a hunch they would look better and sound different. They looked better and sounded far more open and natural.

I love Acrylic. Its a shame other colours Than Black & White are not readily available thicker than 10mm. I dont like laminating

Ever think about polycabonate? It's all but indestructible under any normal conditions and must have properties similar to acrylic?

I made a SME pattern mounting plate for the Mayware out of Matt black Acrylic. Easy to use, Strong enough & ofc no need to fart about with Paint finishes

No i only use High Compliance cartridges.. Was using the below but now got a ADC '27' fitted, these are mega high compliant @ 40x
