Which way to go first?
Upgrade from
LS5 to LS6 (1.5 mtr run). Or
SSC TO SSP currently linking Pre to mono block amps?

For me LS5 to LS6 gave the most apparent uplift (working from memory now). But will probably depend on your speakers.

Re: Help with next cable upgrade.....
A 3m run of LS5 into not hugely 'HiFi' speakers was easily able to show the 'musical' difference between SC, SSC, SSP2 and mk1 TIS.
I do like the SSP2 very much (and no, I don't make them!).
If your speakers are very good and the runs are longer, I've no doubt the LS6 may be the way to go, but as interconnect 'upgrades' can be heard with humble LS2. LS6 should make these differences even greater?
Just ask your friendly credit card or PayPal to increase your limit and get both

Re: Help with next cable upgrade.....
I'd certainly look at the interconnect I think. The Russell K speakers I heard are of the well-damped, full bodied 'neutral-to-rich' variety (rather more tame than I thought the designer would make, whom I've known since the mid 70's) and need a bit of a wake-up in my opinion. Mind you, I heard them with Naim and Naim these days seem to have gone to another extreme from the harsh toned brash 'CB' era of the mid 80's - the smaller models sound all anodyne and bland now to my ears and seem to lack that kind-of turn-on-a-sixpence ability they once seemed to have...
