A80's
I was lucky enough to be able to buy Kaz's A80's. Thank you Kaz.I was originally planning on buying A40's but for not a lot more I was delighted to get these bad boys. I am so excited. I will definitely be getting my cabling order in now to finally get things up and running. Unfortunately I needed to stack them this is what I came up with to help with heat dissipation.

Well done Chunk, as said, you won't be disappointed.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)
Re: A80's
Looks good Chaz. I'm pleased to hear that you're happy, these A80s have given me much enjoyment and I'm sure that they will give you similar listening pleasure once you fire them up.
I've done away with racks and am now using my A80s stacked as well. I've been cautious about heat build up, although the units don't appear to get overly warm in use. Could I ask what your spacers are made from as I'm finding it a bit difficult to make out from the photo?

Re: A80's
Yeah the light was really poor for the photo Kaz. It is solid blocks of Acrylic. I got them online from 3D displays you can specify the dimensions when ordering I took the feet off the top amp. With the same black acrylic blocks it all fits together really well and almost looks like one huge mega amp.

Re: A80's
I can still make mk1 if anyone prefers, but remember even with the blocks or used seperately they should only be used with a passive pre-amp, as the heat dissipation is still not as good as mk2.
No cases so they would have to be ordered, some time delay, same price as mk2.

Re: A80's
NVA's shouldn't get more than mildly warm under normal use.
Those acrylic blocks are dead smart.
