A80mk2 v A80

Unread post by Chunk McDaniel »

Is there a difference in sound of these two amps or is it just a casing change.I realise the new heatsink will allow a better drive of difficult loads but I am using Cube2 speakers.

Ok Doc thanks. Was comsidering a used pair of mk1"s. But I think I am going to stick with ordering new A40's. That way I can get used to the NVA soind and move up from there hearing the difference in my music as I go. More fun and obviously the generois trade in offer.

You can still trade in the mk1 for the price you pay against mk2 for difference in price.

As long as it it is not a silly price for the old A80s. The current ones being advertised are at a sensible price.

I do hear a definite improvement from my old stereo A40 Mk1 (1986) to the current model A40 monoblocks.

The newer ones are tighter, more dynamic and more transparent.

A40 mk2 went to bigger power supply as there was room, the A80s are the same in mk2. The ones on Ebay being sold by one of our members are as they are now apart from case.

If you are interested contact him direct and avoid some costs if you go ahead.

Don't lie you are on your usual wind-up, trying to find things to dig at me and nva about. I am inclined to say mind your own feckin' business. AND YOU MUST BE BLIND it is all advertised here and / or at ebay. Regarding specific items as those A80's they will be advertised for sale the same as everything else if I trade them in.

I really do not understand why you are here apart from to act as an irritant, as can be seen by anyone looking at your posting history. Well I have been patient, but not now, take warning any more deliberate wind-ups and I will do a Marco and invent a rule just for you, wind-ups get strikes

You are on a first strike, just give me an excuse for another two - please.
