Hey Doc. Ordered a pair of Cube 2 speakers this morning. With stock low on Cabs I didn't want to have a wait for another batch to be made. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

I'm becoming fascinated by the reviews etc on Cubes. Is there anyone out there who'd be willing to let me cast an ear to them. I'm in Southport so most anywhere in the South West of the Northwest (Merseyside for preference) might be good.

Thanks guys in anticipation.

Durham - a few hours (scenic) drive, I'm afraid. But it would be worth it

I have CUBE 1s - and a pair of Cube 3s at my work which I can bring home to compare.

Making a point!

As most people know and see I am subject to much insult and rejection from *experts* who haven't listened. They *know* I am doing it wrong. Speakers more than anything else because nva ones are so different. EXPERTS  know that a cube shaped speaker can't work because of standing waves. EXPERTS know that a speaker has to have foam or wool internal damping, everyone does it, they can't all be wrong  . Experts say you cannot have drive units on different planes to each other as they will obviously be projecting out of phase. Experts say you must have a crossover, you cannot control the drivers otherwise, doping - of course it wont work. Experts say speakers cannot be made of plastic, as they call it to make it into an insult. Acrylic doesn't behave as other plastics. Experts say modern speaker have to have ports, as infinite baffle / acoustic suspension is old and discredited tech.

Experts should learn to use their ears.

BTW there will be a Hi-Fi get together which is organised every year by Audio-Talk forum. Weekend of 10th and 11th June. Country Hotel near Doncaster called Owston Hall and Hotel. There will be a pair of Cube 2 there. I think you have to contact them if you want to go. Lurcher (Nick) here can help if interested.
