Ancient History

Unread post by Fretless »

The background music system in the living-room here is based around the amp and speakers that have served me well for about 30 years.

Image

NVA P50 pre-amp with inbuilt phono section + NVA PSU
NVA A40 original stereo model - all built about 1985

Speakers are original version Arcam One (de-wadded).
Mainly fed these days by a Sonos Connect for convenience.
With a Pro-Ject Debut 2 TT / A&R P77Mg cartridge
and Denon DCD520 CD player also attached.

Anybody out there with other venerable NVA amps / speakers / whatever ?
What is the oldest NVA equipment that is still in use ?

If you find an A40 / P60 / PSU with four scews holding front and rear panel on that will be 1982/3 which will be the first.

I have A80's and a P90 pre that I bought from 29Mile who used to post on here. Not sure of their actual vintage but he said they were early 90s if I remember correctly. I've now have them for about 6 years and I am v.pleased with them.
I admit I have some very old NVA gear in my hi fi
