While abroad I purchased this as well as a pair of PSB M4U 1 headphones. I have really never been a headphone user so thought I would give it a try and the amp was at a good price. Well having returned to the uk I have been able to listen and to say I am pleased with the purchases would be an understatement. The bass is tight and as low as I would really want it, mids are expressive and treble smooth and easy with no listener fatigue. My only real comparison would be a Fostex amp (approx. £700) and Audio Technica MSR 7 phones (approx. £150) which I was able to hear on my travels. The phones were on my shortlist, and if this had been my purchase I would have been very disappointed. Cutting it short the sound was shut in compared to what I am hearing now. I would certainly recommend both products.
