Doc Mods Update

Doc mods are not made public to sell product or make money but to explain the design principles I developed over 30 years of experimentation and development. They also help to explain why Cubes are the way they are which I suppose is marketing, but for me it is about creating awareness.

Anyway the Cubettes are being packed for NEBO and the replacements on the system are B&W Nautilus DM303 - Doc Mods, these are full mods all that is left from the original B&W is the cabinet which has now been steel lined and port blocked. So any one contemplating Doc Modding their existing speakers is welcome to come around to listen.

Still some tidying up around the drivers to do, but here is a first pic.

Both running in nicely, rather good. Better than the Cubettes, especially in the bass with the 6inch driver as opposed to the 5inch and higher internal volume. I would say close to Cube2 but not quite as clean because of the acrylic cabs of the 2. FAR FAR FAR better than the original B&W donor units, not on the same planet.

I can only concur . my doc modified JPW AP2 are so much better than the originals , for the money I paid to modify them it is laughable . In my bay windowed medium sized hifi rooms , I don't think I will ever need another speaker.

Excellent Doc!

I just love my AP2" as does DQ. I still haven't had the time to mod the P1's I have here, they will be having much heavier steel lining plus the Docs doped kevlar bass drivers and the Visaton tweeters so should be awesome.
