NVA TV/Movie Audio

Unread post by selby »

Anyone using their NVA amp to listen to TV/Movies?

As I now have a girlfriend a full surround sound system isn't allowed but I'd like to improve the sound when watching movies. So I'm thinking of connecting up the TV/BluRay player to my AP70.

I can't imagine any technical reason why this would be a problem, I've done it with other amps in the past.
My Kit – I moved to home theatre setup sorry...Denon SR7011, Anthony Gallo A'Diva SE Fronts, SpeakerCraft Profile AIM LCR3 One Rears, BK Electronics XLS200-DF MK2 Sub, Epson Projection.

But I would love a cheeky little AP10, AP20 sort of amp for a bedroom setup...

When it comes to HiFi girlfriends are not something to brag about, they only limit the amount of kit you can buy and have out!

I've had a DVD player running through my stereo A40 in the past. Worked great on movies & music vids.

Nice that you've got a girlfriend.

I dunno, they eat you up and spit the bones out :(

I've often played DVD and TV sound through the stereo.

Looks are to create the bond, the sugar on the cake, the bond is there when that becomes much less important, unless it is deliberately broken by one or other half of the relationship.

Did my first movie today via the AP70, was with my daughter so introduced her to Harry Potter. She loved the film, I loved the sound. It's rare I get to turn up the volume that much but today I did (well 4 so not really) but the sound was awesome. The standard movie sound was good but when music kicked in the room became alive. A seriously 3D type sound, rich bass and a crispness to each note.

I'm going to have to watch something like Gladiator next, any other movie recommendations purely for there music?
