In fact ( and not wishing to do the doc out of a sale but) these Royd Sintra 2 look very attractive, known match with NVA, and save the cube 2s 'til later. .
Or if you prefer something bigger or have a larger room these Royd Abbots look like they might be a sooper-dooper bargain.

Re: Lend me your ears !!
I am running A40 monoblocks directly from my Hegel HD12 DAC, which does have adjustable volume (in the digital domain). There is a problem with earthing when I attach headphones, this is solved by running the output via the 'Direct' input on a P50sa pre-amp.
My main rig is currently all-digital with CD, Pi and USB into the DAC.

Ah yes, the whole delayed gratification thing, must bring that up with my therapist..I think she would agree with you.
In defence my first NVA experience was a full statement Cubix pro setup which I'd have snapped up on the spot ( having remortgaged the house and sold my granny ). But there is, apparently, more to enjoying the NVA experience than swapping money for kit. I'll try some deep breathing and sleep on it..In the words of MJ, " no you can't always get what you want but if you try sometimes you'll get what you need", to which I'm now listening on my Dunu DN2000 IEMs.

Re: Lend me your ears !!
excellent choice of music, although I like to think that Keith had more to do with that one - may be wrong, but he was a choir boy!
If you intend to use A40's try Rega Ela (mk1's)

Bugger the naysayers. Life is short. Get the best that you can as soon as you can.

That's more like it, dive in at the deep end, who cares if I don't know how to swim
Plenty of scope to grow. Who knows, next year the Dr. may have conjured up the Cubix pro-cubed "nutter bastard" edition Mk.3.
Also, not firmed up on a DAC, Spotify or Tidal, Should I brush off the vinyl (after 30 years) etc etc. So lots of fun to be had yet.....
Although I could use the bypass on my Martin Logans and see how they sound for a while, are there any technical issues ?????

Re: Lend me your ears !!
Feck nose! I know nothing about them, apart from panels especially ribbons are normally bastard loads for amps. Electrostatics can be depending on design even from same manufacturers. Example Quad 57s are easy where as 63s especially early ones with the crowbar protection are lethal to some amps, inc NVA.
Re: Lend me your ears !!
Neilardo, All Royd's sing with NVA.
It aint rocket science, its just 2 designers doing things right.
It shouldn't be hard, but judging by the amount of tat flooding the market these days, it must be.
EDIT......The above should read "Rip off tat".
