Re: Non NVA speakers cables?
I've tried Talk 3 Speaker Cable with an AP10PX and sounded very good.

Re: Non NVA speakers cables?
I used solid-core mains wire (2mm) for many years on my old NVA A40 stereo amp, it was a popular thing to do in the 80's. I few years ago I asked Supra (the Jenving company in Sweden) if they had a good, low-capacitance cable, they recommended their Supra Classic 4.0. I got some, it sounded very good and didn't cause any problems with the amp.
What the A40 didn't like was an early experiment with 200-strand Monster Cable. It ran quite warm and that wasn't a good sign.

Re: Non NVA speakers cables?
Since I made the decision to only support amplifiers with users of NVA cable my problems have gone down loads, both in people returning because they don't like and from failures. It may have lost me some sales but it has made my life a heck of lot easier.
More happy customers as well.
