My advice is to stick with the top loading Rega as a transport. Given my experience with draw mechanisms effing up I would avoid the Teacs. I have two out of action at present and looks like one will need to go to the official TEAC repairer if it is to be used again. Spare parts are near unobtainable (except lasers) to all but official repair centres.

Thanks. I'm (very) probably going to go with a Rega DAC and use my Brio-R as a transport.

I'm not over-keen on using optical connections. In theory they should be fine, but I don't get along with them.

Imagine I can use an SSP single cable as a digital interconnect?
Primare CD22. Primare DAB/FM radio. SSP to NVA AP70 and AP10H(JS) with Denon AH-D7100's. LS5 to Cube2's.
