Because each step of the P50sa is separate, the signal is clearer and better in control.
Ooo interesting, thats sounds good, thats why Doc said upgrade that first then

The Monos are a great bit of kit ! I have them on now and I have it up against my friends Naim Nait XS, I do believe you will not find a better sound for the money. As for Burn In I would say a month to get the full burn, its really livening up now. I am waiting for Doc to make me a P50se, LS6 and SSP. Like I said it cant get much better than it is! :-? Can it ?

I say some very silly stuff about Hifi - but about NVA's I am deadly serious.

My A40' monoblocks have been running now for about 2 months with a P50sa, and the performance of those small units is unbelievable in terms of what they do. They are not going to blow holes in walls with sheer power - but your ears will love you forever if you get some. Pure Quality.

A P50/A40 combo will cost you a bit more than an AP50 (and you will need interconnects as well), but it gives you the flexibility to upgrade when you have the funds; better pre-amp, bigger power amp, bi-wiring. And there are extra costs for NVA addiction - but then you'll have to see Doctor B. Honeydew for treatment

It took me a while to adjust and get used to a true sound but now I am very happy, if you do buy then make sure you give it a chance as it improves incredibly over time. I believe in burn in now and always will.

The A40s have enough power to shake the house with my doublets, trust me
