I wouldn't bother Shane, unless you can find some RS1's at a good price. One of the drivers in mine burnt out,and i swapped it for one out of my SR80's.I can't hear any difference ,still sounds good,i think it is just the mahogany cups that improve the sound a bit...

Not tried PS1000's,but they look heavier than my SR325's and i found them too heavy.I put mahogany cups on them as well .

A moment of madness perhaps Shane, but I do like listening through headphones.
Trouble is they were bought on the positive web review's alone as I just couldn't demo up here.
Risky I know, but luckily enough they sound gorgeous.
Sorry I can give you no comparison's as I've simply heard nowt too compare.
They are BIG bastards though - look & feel a bit like a Cyberman with em on...... ;)

Their smaller brother (LCD-2) also receives positive feedback. Some prefer them to the Senn HD800's.

Richard,

Would you say that Grados, to a degree, has a similar sound to the rehdeko presentation?

Is the SR325 considered a big upgrade over the SR80?

I notice Grado is now doing the ''e'' version in all their headphones.
