Bloody House Move

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

:angry-steamingears:

Bloody house
Bloody builders
Bloody surpliers

Promised to be finished and in before the end of November, and still half way between the two houses. Kichen not finished, builders not turning up, this is about the most frustrating process possible, and at the moment I am paying for two houses :angry-screaming:

o dear .

whilst not as bad , I had to spend all last nite fitting a new washing machine , having had to pay for it the week before xmas :angry-steamingears: .

It was an integrated , so they cost more :angry-screaming: cause they are all the same size [ WTF] , except this fucker had the biggest plug on it i have ever seen and it would fit through any of the pre drilled holes in the kitchen cabinets

ps. perhaps your builders have fallen asleep reading AOS ;)

I've had a builder has kept me hanging for months and now gone quiet. Now getting quote from another. The behaviour of most of them leaves a lot to be desired. Probably why people are employing Poles.

In my experience, not having wait for a builder means either

a) you're incredibly luck; or
b) you've employed a cowboy.

Spot on! The average wait for my customers is about 3 months or so, has never been less. Must be doing something right I guess. 8-)
The program will often slip, (shit happens), but people are ok as long as you keep them in the loop. Once I'm on a job I never pull off to do anything else.

I am still building orders in the old house BUT please I don't want anything sent or delivered back here until I am moved and organised in the new house. So nothing before 1st January please. Urgent repairs that can be brought around I will try to do on the spot but that is all. There is potential of real chaos (more than usual  ) if things keep arriving, and it is just more for me to move.

I have the company now in the new house but still have the major house furniture move to make, hopeful this coming week. At the moment I sleep here in Bexley / Sidcup / Footscray (I am still not sure which), and Nadia is still in Epping. Seeing as our garden backs onto Footscray North Wood, which is part of Footscray Meadows, I say Footscray, but the Post Office says Sidcup and the council says Bexley.

Maybe you should ask it in nearest pub... Good luck for rest of the move!
