What’s best for internal speakers wiring, multi strand or solid core?

I'd suggest 1.5mm stranded myself, as it's flexible enough (important), still easy to solder to terminals or crossovers (whatever) and slightly heavier gauge than the ubiquitous 0.75mm often used. I re-wired my geriatric Spendors with 2 or 2.5mm approx stranded cable from Maplins (Epos used this stuff in the Chesham era ES14 I remember) and it's a pig to work with, soldering to tweeter terminals and dressing inside (terminals at the back to the crossovers on the removable front baffles). The stuff there originally really was tinned bell wire and I 'thought' there was a slight change in sound when I replaced it.

Sneer all you like, but current QED 79 strand looks better than ever (I think they may have changed supplier since 'my' day selling it) and should be flexible enough as well as cheap and easy to terminate inside.

Much as I love the stuff for it's sonic honesty (it's 2.5mm copper ffs!), I'd personally baulk at using LS2 install wire for speaker innards, especially tweeters, but you may well feel differently ;)

Before I had my stroke (such a quaint name) I used to solder my speaker wire direct to the drivers.

Used to use QED 79 strand. Upgraded to something else and then found that NVA LS6 was better. Tscsc took things to another level.

It's two short to make much difference, so stranded is easier to work with.

I used 2.5mm solid copper wire. Mainly because i found a part reel of it in a skip on a building site  Yorkshire's favourite price (free).
