Thanks for the feedback. I didn't do anything
Not sure why that happened.

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards
I had just set up my new router/hub. Might be connected although it worked ok from the off.

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards
Some progress made here although no pictures to show you.
These last two amps are an exercise in using up parts i have to hand. Four transformers of lower voltage and VA than my other four. The caps are all kendeil i got from Les at Avondale a few years ago. For the rectifier diodes i am using dual schottky MBR20200CT. As i don't have a bridge rectifier to bolt to the heat sink then i have had to make two boards for the two output stages from tufnol and hard wire the circuit using tinned 2 mm solid copper wire on the other side of the board to the components.
Three 6,800 uf caps in parallel per polarity with no inductor's between the caps like i have on the input stages. I have had all four psu's powered up separately and they all do what they should be doing. I will link their 0V next and observe again before hooking up to my spare Avondale amp boards. Then if all is ok i will wire in the NVA boards and hope for the best

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards
Bit more progress here.
My third pair of nva based monoblocs are coming along nicely. Will soon have that six pack i have always promised myself Not built in cases (as is the way at the moment) and built using odds and ends of wire that i had lying around - not the proper colour scheme and all different gauges It will do for these experimental stages .
I tested the nva boards on a single supply at first and when i knew all was good i hooked up the second psu's. Went without a hitch and it is sat at the moment powered up with no load.
No signal wiring yet but i will do that shortly

Re: Building a DIY amp with NVA amplifier boards
When these are done and ready to go they are going on the tweeters. I don't have any spare nva cable so i am going to have to use Naim naca5 which is the only cable i have with very low capacitance. That will have to do for now until i know it is worth doing then Paul can expect an order in the not too distant future
