Re: Tonearm Interconnects
Are these those Brains daft cables from AoS.
Shotgunned cables should NOT be used for arm leads full stop. If you are using two cores and one carries the neg then that is shotgunned, it is basically a balanced cable used unbalanced, waste of time unless you understand what you are doing which Brains doesn't, egged on of course by an even bigger ignoramus in Marco.
Arm lead should be single ended single cored using the screen as neg and as electrical earth. Arm structure earth should be a separate lead run in parallel to the earth terminal on the amp. Anything else is guess work and may work without hum and may be dogs dinner of noise, BUT in all cases it will be having *some* bad effect, there is too much listening to eeediots going on on the forums.

Re: Tonearm Interconnects
Well arm leads is what we are talking about, normal interconnects is a different job.
Re: Tonearm Interconnects
The Screen is not attached the Signal Neg. Just at the arm Metalwork point as is the the Flying Ground lead to the TT metalwork & Pre Amp ground post.. The Signal wires are One for Signal +, the other signal - . repeat this for the other channel lead.
