Managed to get ahead of myself and have just finished the speakers. It will be tomorrow night before I get to have a proper listen to them. I'm really really happy with the way they have turned out but will change a couple of things at some point in the future. First I will add another set of binding posts and rewire to allow biamping. Second I really am tempted to veneer the front panel. For now I'm just glad to have them done and want to enjoy them as they are.

I have had my first couple of hours with the speakers and I have to say I really am very happy with them. They take all the strengths of the Minstrels and take them up a few levels. The Minstrels had really tuneful bass but could on occasion accentuate certain frequency's. These doc mod 6's dig deeper are more tuneful and are balanced right the way through. A testimony to the docs work with the drive units. The visaton tweeter is also sweet as a nut with absolutely no hint of harshness. This weekend is going to be a fun one! Very happy!

In that pic the speakers are in the mini bus garage at work. They are at home now and I will put a pic up later.
