If they did not like Wig wam bam they must have been a boring lot. I used to go to ice hockey matches in the late 80s early 90s and that song was always the crowds favourite between periods. The Sweet released some good albums too.

+1 on The Sweet.
I used to love playing the "B" side of Blockbuster (Need a Lot of Lovin) to mates and asking them to guess who it was. Nobody ever got it, but there were some interesting guesses. Give it a listen and tell me you might not have guessed "That new band, Queen."

Just bought Miles Davis & John Coltrane live in Copenhagen 24 March 1960. Not listened to it yet. Seem to be listening to a lot of live albums recently. They just seem so organic, truthful and real somehow.

the early 60's Coltrane live albums are mostly amazing. A transitional phase before he went all free and stratospheric.
See if you can get hold of some of the 61 or 63 European tour recordings.

Stu, check out the Coltrane albums: 'Afro Blue Impressions ' and 'The Paris Concert'. Both from 63 and recorded in Stockholm and Berlin.

The recordings for 'Paris Concert' might be from either Paris in November 62 or Berlin 63.

Still worth hearing.

The first Trane I ever heard was 'Live in Stockholm' double LP on Charly Records. Blew my mind.

Gone drumming mad again since I have been rehearsing with the function band for NYE at The Grand Hotel York. It might get pulled but if nothing else it has rekindled my passion for drumming, playing music in bands and giving an audience a good time.

Good on you Stu, I dearly wish I could play an instrument or sing but alas I am useless 🙄
