All show, no go, as they say. :DDr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:There was nothing special about the construction, it was pretty flimsy but gave an impression of strength because it use an anodised extruded alluminium gutter pipe for outer case with the cut ends left exposed and bare metal for cheapness. The actual amp was built on a thin bent steel plate that slid into it. The was the original case I haven't looked inside one for about 30 years so I don't know what they do now.

Re: Insane.
Well it's nudging back up in price now.
I don't have a problem with the seller getting a lot of ££ for his amp, after all it's those bidding on it who are setting the price.
There's a CB one on eBay aswell which hasn't had a sniff yet, although bidding is starting at £375.
What was interesting some time ago I had an olive Nait 2 as needed to down-size my stuff. Whilst it was an enjoyable listen in isolation, I ended up getting shot of it relatively quickly as the same old frustrations came from owning it. That's to say lack of *power, limited dynamic headroom, and the 'one trick pony' musical presentation. It was though it was tearing around the musical dept store like an uncontrolled child.
*This was into Royds (Minstrels) which could hardly be easier to drive.
