Too far away for me, but I would be very interested in the outcome. I would like there to be a comparison of power supplies, the Mcru, Chinese cheapy and the Chord one.

We'll certainly compare my 2Qute with it's own supply vs the MCRU supply.
The Chinese supply is a different rating.

Do bear in mind to make sure volumes are set as well as you can, as the cheapo DAC has a lower output than typical and in quick comparisons it does seem to make a difference I've found...

does seem to make a difference I've found...
I have a sound level metre if that would be any good, can bring along.
I have a HD Plex LPSU to bring, along with an 'Intona' USB isolater which I use in my system.

I think the Doc has a 5v PS for his £5 DAC.

@ savvypaul - Would that be a Musical Fidelity X CANS headphone amp sat on your rack ? Always liked the little X series.
