Re: New MCRU meet up
How do they do that for £6??!!
Didn't see anyone running for the hills...
£800 cable, though
Which reminds me that Dave did disappear for an inordinately long time when a strikingly pretty young lady arrived and requested a coaxial cable for her Sky dish!

Hope he sold her a thick one, oh FFS I am morphing into Marco as the nob head at AT said
That was just the mains cable and of course that makes feck all difference. The interconnects were SC and SSC.

I know, just pulling your chain.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2017 3:12 pm That was just the mains cable and of course that makes feck all difference. The interconnects were SC and SSC.
Oh, hell, I'm starting to sound like Marco, too. He is omnipresent through smut-ual intercourse. We're all doomed!
Omnipresent? Well, he would appear to employ several usernames...

The size and voice makes him omni present where ever he goes. I wouldn't get within 3 feet of him if I could avoid it in case something jumped across or the fumes reached

Re: New MCRU meet up
I thought that the standard of speakers at the bake-off on Sunday was high.
It helped that every speaker that I heard whilst I was there was of a genre that I like.
Either high efficiency or sealed box. And all of them with adequately sized bass drivers.
IE no crappy slimline low efficiency ported speakers with 6" mid-bass cones.

Re: New MCRU meet up
Thanks for the quality pictures, some interesting designs and sounds like a good day out.
That linear power supply is of interest too, thinking of trying one on my Dac and that might fit the bill. Any chance of a link or make and please Doc, I am assuming from the pics it is yours?
