New London Phono Stage Bake Off

As advertised at Audio Talk

I hope the following is acceptable and does not offend the proposer of this initial idea.
After hearing about the near Brighton one being cancelled and the idea presented to abandon the Southern Attempt, it seems this proposal could be viewed as a life line to keep the proposed event alive.
I have spoke to my friend Stoyan about us Hosting a Phonostage Bake off, near London, a venue in East London not far from the A13/A406 intersection is being investigated for availability.
If this is something that would appeal to a wider audience and get a day out on the agenda please let us know.
There should be hot beverage facilities available and I.m sure a Fish and Chip Lunch could be arranged.
There are Three Phonostages that can be heard at present, two have been built outside of the UK, and one of these has won a similar Bake off type presentation in the country that it was made, this one is in transit at present to the UK.
The more Phonostages present on the day the merrier, so in the words of Tom Hardy, playing the role of the convict Charles Bronson " Lets ' Av It ".

It would be better if it was West London then some people from other parts of the south may be encourages to attend. East London is out for me as I have spent hours driving round the south circular to pick up some kit. Alternative is miles of M25 congestion. Good idea though and wish all luck with this.

Get a tube and train, if you take gear then just pack it in a trolly case - easy peasy. I did the same last Saturday.

It's the timing (and rip off train prices). Afternoon would be possible by car via N. Circular.

Day travel card £11, less than the petrol probably. Me, I am free now anywhere on the London Zones, called a Freedom Card, you get it at 65.

Assuming this is Sunday no train before 9.30 and £57.50 return from Bristol Parkway plus tube and car parking. Diesel for that distance £20-£25. Only doable by car.

As I've said before a southern bake off makes sense if it is central or accessible outer edges of London. The SE corner is another country as far a I am concerned now (though was born in Essex). At least that Bake Off is closer than MCRU's place but could take as long to get there from Bristol depending on traffic. I wish some would realise that London isn't 'The South' it's London!
