Yer fav B&W films

Unread post by Mississippi Blind Child Assburn » Sun Jan 06, 2019 4:48 pm

Here are some biggies that Blind Child cannot understand the allure of:

THE THIRD MAN
CASABLANCA
THE 39 STEPS
SUNSET BOULEVARD
DOUBLE INDEMNITY
MALTESE FALCON

and especially PSYCHO ,which has to be the most over-rated movie ever.

Any Laurel and Hardy, I just can't help seeing them as Macca and Marco the other famous comedy act.

THE SEVENTH SEAL
NIGHT OF THE HUNTER
NIGHT OF THE DEMON
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
A CANTERBURY TALE
WINGS OF DESIRE ( but, like Wizard of Oz, it turns to colour)
KORZACK
THE BROWNING VERSION
REPULSION
ELEPHANT MAN
CITIZEN KANE
DEAD OF NIGHT
BLOW UP
THE HAUNTING
THE INNOCENTS
THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS
THE BLUE ANGEL (both versions - jannings & curt jergens)
CARNIVAL OF SOULS
BLACK SUNDAY

Also these, but I think they were colour:
TUNES OF GLORY
MAN FOR ALL SEASONS
THE ROSE TATTOO
THE COLLECTOR
SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER
BLACK NARCISSUS
THE PAWNBROKER
THE NEON CEILING

get down, boy

Two of my faves appear in your opener, Casablanca and Double Indemnity,
i'd add:

Now Voyager
Brief Encounter
Room at the Top
Matter of Life and Death
Notorious
Frank...made me do it.
