John Hurt is playing the church organ.

KLONDIKE (2013, US)

Not bad........ I guess.
Well anyways better than getting it in with Sammy Davis Jr.

Many, if not most, of these tv series hire out companies to do the opening sequences for them. (Quite a few are done by Canadian companies). Watching the Klondike title sequence you should right away see the similarity to Game Of Thrones sequence - the music, the graphics, the movement...everything. I did not check, but I'm sure its the same company.(I think The 100 is the same.)

There are quite a few of these, but I can't think of them right now. (True Blood sequence is similar to one, but I forget. Sounds like they use the exact same band.)

THE OPEN DOOR Mystery & Imagination series Jack Hawkins

DURING BARTY'S PARTY Beasts series
This one is like a play with only husband & wife. Very good. It really ratches-up the tension.
Its about a swarm of migrating rats trying to eat thru the floorboards of a country house. Not interesting, you say.
I agree, but its done with great acting and very clever sound effects: tension is increased when the wife cannot stand the clawing noise any longer and turns up the radio to cover the sound of busy rats. The program is called Barty's Party. Its light, party-party, happy-time with sickly-sweet, joking banter on the part of host Barty all way through.
The wife hates loud rock music, but has chosen a rock station on purpose.
With the husband & wife going desperate/nigh mental, and the constant scrabbling of the rats building-up in intensity and the incessant jabber of the radio host, you will never listen to the tracks "Shout!" and Beatles "Hippy Hippy Shake" without thinking of this episode.

DEAD OF NIGHT ('77 US)
trilogy of horror stories , this is shit-outta-arsehole from shit-outta-arsehole America. 3 stories written by Matheson ,who apparently is the best America can produce. This is him at his lowest

1945's Dead Of Night is the template from which all horror film is built-upon. But this US abortion is just shit.

THE WITHERED ARM Wessex Tales series (from short - supernatural - stories of Robert Hardy) Pretty good, Jimmehs.
with Billie Whitelaw and Edward Hardwick

DRACULA from Mystery & Imagination series Dems taking bitta liberties with the Stoker: Crazy fly-eating Renwick turns out to be Jonathan Harker.
Denholm Elliot plays the dirty fanger.

AN IMAGINARY WOMAN Wessex Tales series Claire Bloom

THE ROAD OF TWO AMBITIONS Wessex Tales John Hurt, Edward Petherbridge (later to play Lord Peter Whimsy)
this was real good: two up-coming curate brothers are concerned that their disreputable, drunken father which they sent away to Canada, will return and blight any chance of their promotion as well as the hope of their sister marrying into a wealthy family
