Here we go,sorry to say it but my Royd Minstrels are the only speakers i have ever owned that sound excellent at all volumes,i listen most nights after her indoors has gone to bed and can even listen to frank zappa without waking her up...Royd and NVA together both excell at low volumes.As it happen...

Thanks for info re. JPW P1s. I also have a pair of JPW Monitor Gold speakers pressed into emergency TV duties that I could perhaps experiment on re. steel and wadding. Overall their tonal balance is on the shouty and bright side. IIRC, they have a very simple crossover with the bass driver running ...

Ha,I sneak a peek at pfm most days.I think it could be for the warm inner glow i get when i see what they are wasting their money on now.My naim days were doomed when i bought my first sound cord...After a few years of upgrade worry,it's so nice to be totally content with what i have now.... :angeli...

I use the model before that one in my workshop with an old squeezebox and my mini monitors ,easily out classes the big old denon amp i was using,which went in the skip. :grin:
