Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.

Isn't W10 still free ?

Re: Your last listen

Damn, shouldn't have looked up Styx's 'Mr Roboto'. It has me pulling out the Styx discs that I already have, like: Styx 'The Grand Illusion' https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61XAQnizwDL._SR500,500_.jpg Actually, this is a rather good album with some subtle production details and well-constr...

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.

Two hard-drives would do. The SSD for Volumio and the existing one for Windows. But you would have to physically change the drives by taking one out of the PC and installing the other.

Latest Volumio info on beta test version of the X86 installer:

Complicated, this - I might wait for a new version with an easier installation method.

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.

Check this out: https://forum.volumio.org/volumio-x86-install-hdd-t5058.html The little PC I have was my office PC a few years back, but is underpowered for serious tasks. It does have a (quiet) fan and a mechanical HDD but it might be fun to try out a Volumio installation. Can''t use it for anythin...

Re: Tinker, Tailor, Streamer, Pi.

Interesting, Slinger. There is an unused old Acer mini desktop PC lying around somewhere here. Will be following your adventures on this.
Best of luck.

And to balance the Krautrock weirdness: Pat Metheny 'From This Place' (2020) https://writteninmusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/pat-metheny-from-this-place-1000.jpg If there is one single artist that I automatically and unquestioningly buy EVERYTHING from then it is Pat M. Here with his most rece...
