Re: Things that make you feel old

Turned 50.... My company BUPA medical contribution increased by 140%. Started receiving emails for Viagra, Saga insurance and Rhine cruises. Turned 55.... BUPA insist on 3-monthly medicals including the 'rubber glove' or.. no cover. Took the easy way out. Emails arriving now for a (burial) plot. Car...

Re: cube 2

You lived on the moors above Cornholme and Tod. Is there a local shop, for local people?

Re: cube 2

Very well described. I've had a pair of Cube2's for some years. Always been good, plus improving the source and cables just bring out more and more. Next (and final) upgrade will be to Cube1's.

What turtabe (sic) do you use and why?

That's a good question. Why do you use a turntable? Because it's chic and trendy, or because you believe the Earth is flat?

I do have quite a few LP's... they made great plantpot holders once heated-up.

Re: Primare CD22 player

Yes it is, there's no doubting that. But the Primare is, to my ears at least, better. Or at least I prefer it's delivery. Came home this evening. Put on Alison Goldfrapp's latest, and sat through the whole album. Expecting LS7 tomorrow so let's hear what that does.....

Re: Primare CD22 player

Thanks Richard. I understand. Been trying to source a 1m single length of TIS Mk1 but so far no go. I'll think on what I want to do. For the time-being I'll use a pair of SSp's.

Re: BMU

Makes a real difference to me. Rural location and mains sort-of OK. After about three months of having the BMU in my system, I tried without... for about 15minutes then re-instated the BMU.... I don't have Golden Ears by a long chalk, but the difference was marked.
