Re: Old trade in A60

I will start you off at £101 Doc, could be just what I need to get on the NVA pre power ladder! Going to cost me a pre-amp as well though if I win though! :epop:

Re: Dinosaurs

I believe a lightning/3.5mm headphone jack adapter will be bundled with the new iPhone 7 but it all looks a bit clunky. Think they really want you to buy a pair of shiny new wireless 'Airpod' headphones at around £159 a pop  - and the Apple fans will love them!! Don't know what the benefits o...

Re: NVA Cubettes

No problem Jammy, if someone wants to donate a spare A60, I promise I will give it an honest review!
Seriously though, My little NVA amp has a real liking for the Cubettes, will be interesting to see if better cable or amp is worth the difference - going to be fun!

Re: NVA Cubettes

Well I can second Paul's experience with the Cubettes! I put some music on after lunchtime today and was still listening hours later. My wife and kids usually ignore my hifi ramblings but were getting involved and making requests. The Cubettes are looking good after a few coats of Danish oil and sui...

Re: NVA Cubettes

Yes I had heard that, legend says they call him 'The Builder' and when he makes an amp, they will Listen...looks a bit like Yoda I believe. Thanks jimbob, that's an excellent idea, would definitely be up for that - could bring my little integrated along to compare. Will keep an eye on the dem...

Re: NVA Cubettes

Ok so had a bit of a a false start after the courier had decided to drop kick one of my Cubettes (hope he broke his toe) the speaker is back with a new driver and has been in situ for around a week. First impressions? Early days and the speakers are not ideally placed, currently either side of my la...

Re: Cubettes

Hi Shane, How are the Cubettes working for you in that set up, any chance to have a proper listen yet? Curious as I have a pair on order and they will be parked on a computer desk initially, until I get the living room in order and source a pair of stands. How are mine coming along Doc? I know, I kn...

Re: NVA Cubettes

Hi,
Apologies if posted in the wrong place but I am considering ordering a pair of these to use with my AP40 px amp. Couldn't tell from pictures in other threads but is the unfinished speaker 'raw' wood, i.e. suitable for staining? Thanks!
