Re: The Analog Kid

It's been quiet on the Hifi front at Fretless Manor as the first residential training group of the autumn season is in this weekend. The last week has seen a panic-level flurry of activity trying to get the garden looking less like a jungle - the wet, mild summer has been wonderful for everything g...

Re: Your last listen

I needed something smooth and relaxing after sorting out a lot of legal stuff (solicitors lack of urgency winds me thru the roof) and an ongoing boundary dispute that makes me want to wrap a shovel round someones head. It had to be and was only ever going to be The very best of The Crusaders (1976)....

Re: NVA Field Agents

My post is related to only geographical placement of the agents (makes me think of The Matrix for some reason  ). Five or six agents need to be spread out amongst the area you are intending to cover. Does that include Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland ? Scotland would need one agent imo. Londo...

Re: Can the world act fast?

I'm gonna park this here and see what people think. Blatantly copied from another forum The one thing we have to call out are these ridiculous obfuscation and diversion tactics — is CO2 really increasing and if it is, is human activity to blame, is the Earth really warming and if it is, how can we b...

Re: Tablets

Mine is a galaxy tab a7. Nothing majorly wrong with it. I have only ever had Samsung tablets. My kids have amazon fire or whatever they are called. Too small for my ageing eyes and sausage fingers. I now have to wear the lowest magnification glasses you can find in the shops to do any soldering. Oth...

Re: Non USB streaming

The Mano looks nice and simple inside compared to some which have oceans of components. KISS 8-)

If there was room to add a dac board in there (psu external) then the I2S connection could be very short. Would have to weigh up that versus the effect of putting a dac board in that noisy environment.

Sorry I am upset I just lost another caring friend, a nurse on ICU, she was lovely, plump, and loved hugs, and she was black.
Good bye Max xxxx :angelic-cyan:
Sorry to hear that Colin, I see you still have your sense of humour. Maggie made me laugh
