What a gig, just a pure adrenaline rush from start to finish. Magical, me and my mate still talk about it. I turned down a ticket to see the Ramones in Liverp...

Re: Bands / artists you would love to see live in their prime

One of my biggest regrets is not seeing more bands live when young, free, and single. I missed out on a load of acts...

Curious silence about this one. Probably reflects the gender balance on the forum. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/apr/23/les-mckeown-obituary?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other My mum, thinking she was being trendy and down with the kids bless her, bought me a Xmas card one year that said...

A wonderful live act, a force of nature in fact.

If I was to pick one of hers I would say Life is Sweet off the album of the same name.

Re: My basic music network.

I have had a Synology DS118 ( with WD 4TB HDD ) for over 2 years now and have been very pleased with its performance and reliability. I play my files ( FLAC/WAVE) through my Squeezebox Touch and the results are truly excellent. I went for a single disc Synology NAS as I back up everything onto 2 sep...

Re: Binge watching TV

We too have binged on Spiral - fantastic - although I never want to go back to Paris! Interesting judicial system - ours cannot surely be as disjointed! I know. I was completely unaware of the French judicial system, and it's quite confusing at first. However, it makes for great television. Also, I...

Re: First serious hifi

Seems quite a few people had Rotel amps BITD, I must admit I did enjoy my old RA930BX. For the pittance I sold it on for I wish I'd just kept it.
