Verum 1 headphone
Help needed with a query, after reading the thread of the last Hifi show Doc attended back in March, had my interest perked by Nick's Verum 1 headphones, i immediately ordered the Carbon version, as yet i haven't had any updates from the seller, i sent a extremely friendly email roughly a month ago ...

Re: Judging books by their cover
Natalie Merchant's Tigerlily is a repeat listen of mine. 8-) Seems 'Ray Of Light' is Madonna's high point, didn't know so Youtubed Madame X, lots of different influence and styles going on, vocals have a more clinical/etched feel to it, she's certainly singing better than ever but most of the songs ...

Re: Judging books by their cover
Funny you should start this thread, i had on of those thoughts recently, the (ahem) artist was Madonna, someone at work was playing her stuff through the store ceiling speakers before we open, i always dismissed her as selling on shock, controversy, sex and tits but no substance, maybe the ceiling spe...

Re: Weekends are for vinyl
I am sure I would be, I don't doubt it for one minute. What I do doubt is that the LP12 is as shit as a lot of folk would have me believe. The LP!2 hating bandwagon is a mighty fine thing..... While i agree with you about how some peoples perception of LP12's sounds 'broken', i still have of soft s...

Always suspected Lindsay's gaff is not the hovel some of us live in,
a man's rig if there ever was one, being a big speakers guy, i am impartial to his speaker choice.

Re: Savvy System Blog
Very nice Paul, i had a flat strobe 401 with SME IV with Lyra Argo/Benz Micro Lp till recently,
decided to sell the 401 to sort out my Thorens TD124, as yet not got it off the ground,
not got the incentive to play vinyl of late.

Re: Your last listen
Repeated listening to this last night in memory of Doc and this forum,
especially the returning kind words of the few who left on the Obit thread,
as the hopeful lyrics said ''life carries on'', i hope the brand and this forum survives.

Re: Black - Colin Vearncombe
Thanks Bencat, a wee story about James Grant, his miserable persona is no different off stage. Travelled up from Glasgow to his show in Carnegie Hall (Dunfermline), it was the time of his ''sawdust in my veins'', as i'm no Fifer and wasn't sure where venue was, so set off from Glasgow in good time a...
