Re: AP20 volume
Is your AP20 already fitted with HP socket? If yes the it is a case of finding right resistor to match with your headphones. Stu - depending on age ( and internal layout ) some AP20 can be fitted with SA - it would involve swapping volume control with input selector tough so front markings would be...

Re: Amplified vs Phono stage question
Thanks for the replies so far, all. If any of the NVA options had a remote facility I'd have probably changed already, to be honest. The TV goes through the amp also, so a remote is really handy as we're perpetually turning it up and down to compensate for deafening sound effects or inaudible dialo...

Re: AP20 volume
Reducing the signal level from the source would involve the addition of some resistors (like an L pad). Some people claim attenuators ruin the sound whilst others say they can't hear them in circuit. I have never had the need to try them. I don't know if a stepped attenuator will fit in the the AP2...

https://www.hifisubjectivist.org/viewtopic.php?p=208170#p208170 Sell rega and buy A20x and P50sa from link above. I'm not sure about selling them now. I was hoping to use my AP70sa while having a reorganise but it is too deep to fit in the space available so I've had to put the pre and power in the...

Re: Headphone Amp
After Slinger mentioned the head space I decided to have a look at it as I now only use headphones. It's now stayed in the system as I seem to be hearing more detail. Seeing as it only cost a total of £16, including postage, I think it probably counts as a good value upgrade. I'm interested as it l...

AP20 volume
I've been using my AP20 in a second system but some changes mean that I am planning to use it for headphone listening only. I was never able to get the volume control over 9 o'clock without complaints from the rest of the family that it was too loud and now when listening with headphones I'm not get...

Slinger, did you get chance to try this out and did it make any difference?slinger wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2020 3:49 pm I've just ordered one of these: The Bard's Headspace from Sonneteer. Gawd knows if it'll make any difference, and I hardly use cans these days, but it'll be a bit of fun finding out.

Re: Bandcamp Mayday special
I was going to order a pre release from one of my current favourites Chip Wickham https://chipwickham.bandcamp.com/album/blue-to-red on Monday but then I got the email from Bandcamp about waiving the fees so I waited until Friday then ordered. I might order this next time around https://tommy-guerre...

Me and Mrs Quark were watching Black Books again last night. This also has Graham Linehan as co writer and had us laughing more often than we have done in ages
