Re: Which pot for NVA passive? 10K, 50K, 100K ??
From NVA amps perspective there is little difference from 10k to 50k pot - Richard was of a mind that 10k sounded a smidge better - I tend to agree - as a interesting fact there was a time when 47k pot was used in NVA preamps - never tried 100k pot thought.

We can supply any SA pot in range from 10k to 250k - Job is the same so are the costs of parts ( down to couple of pounds ) so the cost of upgrade is the same. As Paul mention it would be bespoke item.

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7
Last week I removed the three fence post legs that my speakers were just sat on. Screwed on three small bits of scrap wood just so I can experiment with positioning the speakers without the faff I had to go through before. Surprisingly I kind of like that kind of leg arrangements - well if you can ...

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7
The magnet on the B&W driver looks very feeble in comparison but then it probably has a lighter cone and other differences to even things out. This or B&W magnets are made from different material ;] like regular magnets and N52 ones Is there a large weight difference? OFC you might be right...
