Re: Bundle
Looks like someone added and extra input - may as well be after advice and with blessing from Doc - but we will never know. LS3 do not look right at all - first of it is not 14 cores for sure then I never saw wire Doc and us use to build speaker cable to come in blue... - also looking at photo those...

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7
I did think about wall mounts and I keep going back to that idea. My walls are brick so it could be done. I think it might be good to take the suspended floor in my room out of the equation. If hollow the arm could conceal the speaker cables. Hey presto, magic floating speakers  Hard to faff w...

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7
Oh, and I need a wood lathe or some other method of turning it. How about using a Honda engine with reduction gearbox  I've got one of them  Or tractor power take off  - might be a bit fast and dangerous  It was only as a example and I know you want sphere ;] I just wanted t...

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7
As my wife likes the look of wood, I am leaning more in the direction of translam birch ply. Oh yes, I like to make things hard for myself but as well as the possible sonic improvements over a cube or cuboid I think they have the potential to look amazing. Personally I have become tired of looking ...

Re: Music on Tidal to test MQA - MQA Review
Wow. That was very interesting. I would say that if it is all true (and it looks like it is) the whole MQA is biggest audio BS of a decade... That it is far from perfect I knew I use tidal and some of my old CD rips sounded better than master MQA version from Tidal But I did not expect that their &...

Re: Hallelujah John Darko
I agree with a lot of what he is saying with exception of his statement: "I know that 8k streamer will sound better than 1k streamer" ( I would not have a problem if he just said "is better" as better is hard to define but he said "sounds better"...) unfortunately with ...

Re: What is better?
I accept that paper in oil or silver make an audible difference. But for example power supply caps, resistors ,inductors .there made of the same stuff, therefore shouldn't sound different. As Doc was saying - never change what's is working - so changing elements just for the sake of it or "ser...
