Re: The state of the UK Hi-Fi Industry...and what might be done

Five star reviews on What HiFi are meaningless and it is best to give them a wide berth. From my own experience the 3.5K WAF Spendors which had a five star review sound shite. They also prefer Tidal to Qobuz, my ears do not agree. I do not think the best products are sent to What HiFi because nothin...

Re: The Rise & Fall of Boris Johnson

Given that the police are only talking about fixed penalty notices, I'm not sure how the report could prejudice the police investigation - it's not as if there is going to be a trial by jury. Would be good if there were, though... The reason could be the report has found evidence of the deletion of...

Re: The state of the UK Hi-Fi Industry...and what might be done

I think that getting people to know that NVA exist is a major issue. From a personal prespective I do not recall NVA coming to my attention in the early to mid 80s when I bought hifi magazines. When my interest resurfaced thirty years later through the Internet it took around a year for me to become...

Re: The Rise & Fall of Boris Johnson

I retired a year after the Brexit referendum. In my last year the impact Brexit would have on the number of nurses was a HUGE concern. It seems the worst fears have been realised. The amounts agency nurses had to be paid to fill in the gaps was also a major concern. My wife used to be friends with a...

Re: The Rise & Fall of Boris Johnson

Surely how the money is spent is largely down to the management within the NHS? Not true where Wales is concerned and I would think the situation is similar in England. The Welsh Government allocates funds to regional health boards, the amount depending on the considered need. The health boards are...
