Re: Binge watching TV
I've got one episode left of Star Trek: Discovery series 4, and the good news is the show's been picked up for a fifth series. They've also almost finished shooting Picard, series 3, which will be the final series. I found Discovery a bit on the painful side, this coming from a die hard trekkie. To...

Re: Mental as anything
Most governments have been on a gaslighting campaign for the past couple of years. Now thugs are trying to start WW3. Part of recovery is recognising what the cause is. Are there help lines? I wouldn't bother with a GP, they'll just refer you elsewhere or try and sell you drugs. I'm seriously disill...

Re: Feck this, I've had enough.
You have i-love-streaming-itis. You'll never get over it, it's just too convenient. Consider sticking both your speakers in a corner, tidying up your amplifier arrangement, plugging a nice bluetooth receiver into your not-a-volume-control and forgetting about messing with it ever again. Still too mu...

I'm going to work my way through these favourites in an attempt to expand my musical sphere. It would be helpful if there were recommended tracks for people who'd like try something representative. I'll start
Joe Satriani: Stars race across the sky (remix or original)
Gary Moore: Still got the blues

Re: The Football...
I'm not going to pretend to know what is going on, but it sure isn't what is being reported in MSM. It seems to me that the Ukraine isn't a unified country and "the west" is poking it's collective nose into what amounts to a civil war. But what do i know? Probably nothing.

Re: TT Recommendation
The bike analogy is a good one. In this case your chain keeps falling off, so your chain has worn out (you've replaced your belt), your chainring or cassette has worn out (you need to inspect the rest of the wear surfaces) or your derailleur is misadjusted (check your speed change mechanism). Yup, i...

Audiophile, May 1992 pipe_sq.jpg NVA SOUND PIPE Interconnects are usually cables which just hang around. But they don't have to be. Dave Wiley tries out an alternative, NVA's Sound Pipe NVA Sound Pipes are more like sound tubes than conventional interconnects Well, aren't interconnects suppose to ...

Hi-Fi News & Record Review, July 1997 ap10-cut3.jpeg If ever a small UK manufacturer has ploughed a lone furrow, it is NVA. Now the indomitable Richard Dunn comes up with a direct-selling amplifier for those on a tight budget It was never Richard Dunn's intention to set me on a chase to find t...
