Re: 12V Gel Battery to power NuForce HDP
FWIW. I use a 12v 7.2ah Yuasa security alarm battery to power my Bantam Gold, which I use as a headphone amplifier. I have a car battery too, think that might be rated 28ah. Overall, the security alarm battery is probably preferable. Might be worth considering? Also, consider fitting a fuse / switch...

Cheers.
Cheers.

Glad you're enjoying it. I personally use the Cambridge, ducks for cover to avoid brickbats. I prefer using the MM section with an MC headamp, instead of it's standard MC inputs.

Is the Angle AudIo phono stage the one with the built in battery supply? Does it sound noticeably better when disconnected from the mains?

Another option might be to upgrade it to Arkless status. I think I'm correct in saying, it's the same price whether the donor unit is working or not.

Sounds fabulous, Lindsay. The only downside to a top of the range LP12 is that it didn't stay top of the range too long. What about Mana stands? Did you have those?

I never could afford it anyway. I always thought if Chris or Malcolm Steward had it, then it must be the best. There's a fascinating piece in an old Hi-Fi Review, NVA turntable, amps and loudspeakers. The NVA system. I think Ian Rankin wrote it, you went to his house if I remember, the NVA challenge...
