Pin 1 on xlr should be chassis bonded at both ends if done to spec. All commoned in all devices with shortest path to clean side of 0v return in psu

My old man has a Beogram RG 1200 he bought in the sixties with an sp1 on it. Lovely cart, big warm sound, god knows how many hours it has on it though, last replaced in the eighties...

Giving a deck a nice clean feed free of harmonics, dc offset and rfi cant hurt. I've heard Nick's psu make a significant difference at one of Brooks's dog's. That was vs a big ass mains regen unit...

I think the meaning has been reinvented and shifted numerous time over the years. It's just a catch all term for simply designed uk kit.

Still rocking a last gen ipod. Binned the hd and fitted a quad sdxc card and 400 gig of cards to it. Run time is over 25 hours and there's space for all my digital music in lossless.

Looks like it's an integrated dac on a chip with receiver, dac and clock and outputs all on one part. One psu rail, no decoupling, precious little regulation, waste of time.

Just added a transformer output stage to my pi stack. Sounds great, a little smoother than the opamp iv setup. Theres loads of playing to be done with them
