For me, Led Zep have some of the best riffs ever written - the guitar line in Kashmir is amazingly powerful for something so simple. If they could only stick to the song and not get lost for 2 (or more) mins in the middle every time, i'd probably be a fan

This is getting complicated - even for me. Have to give this checksum thing a go. If just to see if there is any visible data corruption. I do think that audible differences in digital encoding are present. But it is very subtle and possibly more a matter of personal taste/preference than absolute ...

Struggling to see why you should hear a difference between flac and Wav playback unless you have a very low powered Nas or are doing transcoding you aren’t expecting - even a low powered cpu can decompress audio on the fly

From S. London - Sidcup, so two nights for me in B&B. Crikey! That's a long old trip.... depending when you leave on friday you may be better going M1 M62 M61 as there are long stretches of roadworks on the M6 (and it'll be crap on a friday afternoon/eve anyway....) We can perhaps finalise kit ...

I looked, but it is on the M61 which looked PITA to get to from the M6. where are you coming from? its easy to get to chorley m61 from the M6, southbound it has a dedicated junction and northbound you just cut the corner using the m65 but its all clearly posted. Chorley is about 15-20 mins from min...
