Re: HFS at the WAM show

The biggest problem was the noise leakage in the large rooms, due to their only being a sliding partition between them. The large rooms would probably be OK if the 2 end ones were for systems and the 2 rooms in the middle were used for vinyl sales or left empty. A few sofas in the big rooms or any ...

Re: HFS at the WAM show

I did notice a lone NVA box in someone's room but can't remember who's it was. Looked like a phono stage or small power amp. Couldn't see any cables so not sure it was in use. I was going to ask about it but got way-laid as usual then forgot. By the way Doc, your room does appear in the Wam photos....

Re: What part of your system is the strongest

I would have had your return to single ended valve amps as the best part of your system with your latest speakers a very close second steve.
I really liked that one you brought to mine.

Re: What part of your system is the strongest

They are very good loudspeakers you should be proud of them. Thanks doc, I've always been impressed by old valves, 4 or 5 watts at the most. So I've always needed high efficiency drivers. Many people seem to think you can just pick a few drivers and electronicly match them and make a good speaker I...

Re: What part of your system is the strongest

I don't think I have heard better speakers than my present diy speakers. I have plans to make a second pair. And have most of the parts waiting. Just need to find the time. The second pair won't be red ? Its taken over 20 years of practice to build my present speakers, its not easy to get the sound ...

The speakers have been stained mahogany to match the 5 string... They loo...

Re: U.F.O's

Sigh. I meant a force that is a repulsion version of gravity, not that there are no forces that produce repulsion, clearly electromagnetic is one that does repulse. Yes that's right Nick, but there are still forces that oppose our gravity. It been proved that we get lighter when there's an eclipse....
