Something automatic with a single button to press such as the jvc I rebuilt, a denon, that kind of thing, can sound very good and may fit the bill as a stand in for you until you recover.
No faffing around to Set up things like tracking weight either, most of that ilk have a dial

Hmmm. The jbe seems to repond very well to balanced power.
Its psu is pretty rudimentary compared to the jvc, perhaps that why it has made more difference to it

Got them both in place now, the JBE isn't connected up right now as I didn't get round to it today. I had to move the PASS F5 power amp which was where the JVC is now, and in order to do that I had to build in some shelves into the built in cupboard underneath.
