Re: Lockdown Valve Amp
Should be safe 5 minutes after being disconnected. The caps are supplying op amps, so at most +- 20v. The op amps will keep pulling power when it disconnected until its discharged. There are no transformer in that box so no mains voltages to worry about.

Re: Prime Minister admitted to hospital
I wasn't questioning that your immune system declines with age, I was talking about the accretion of antibodies with lifespan.

But as you get older surely your antibodies decrease? Google is your friend if knowledge is required. :) Evolution of the immune system in humans from infancy to old age. https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/full/10.1098/rspb.2014.3085 I have to ask what knowledge you have gained from that paper?...

But as you get older surely your antibodies decrease? I may have badly explain something that I know bugger all about. I mean as you get older, your immune system has seen more attacks, so has more antibodies created by fighting more attacking things. https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/earth-and-...

Re: Prime Minister admitted to hospital
It seems that virus are cunning things, one of the odd aspects of SARS-CoV-2 seems to be its lack of effect on the young. I know bugger all about biology in general but one theory I have seen is that the effect of the virus depends on the level of similar antibodies already in the system. It hides b...

Re: Lockdown Valve Amp
Bigger caps also equal longer charge time. They shoudnt do if the current capacity of the transformer feeding them is chosen accordingly. If designed correctly, they should still charge back up over the next 100th of a second charging cycle. which surprises me) as I always thought bigger cap value ...

Re: Coronavirus restrictions: are they legal
You could go out if you could see where it isn't. Test, Test, Test. Like any other measurement (another word for test), its only useful if 1. You know you are actually measuring what you think you are 2. Its accurate and repeatable 3. What you are measuring is of use to provide information that all...

Re: Help needed.Unison Research 845 fuse
Ok, so its the 20mm fuse in the IEC (probably slow blow). Sounds like you have fixed it. Worry if it keeps doing it.Is the amp got a valve rectifier? They can sometimes arc as they get old and that will take a mains fuse out.
