Re: Kimber Power Max cable.
I use a BMU for CD, Radio and 2 x NVA mono power amps through round-pin plugs. Wondered about connecting the PSU for NVA (JS) headphone amp and Blu-ray player via these (Kimber) power leads over the conventional power lead straight into the ring main.

A local charity shop is selling 2 x 1m Kimber Power Max cables at £15.00 each.
Are they worth the bother?

Re: Snow
We do have difficult snow here. Whether 4" or 4'. This afternoon I stepped on some snow on my outside steps. It immediately turned to snow/ice and became very slippery. We don't have the temperature drop to make powder 'manageable' snow, so our snow is much more dense and shifts to a semi-ice s...

Re: Snow
Seems there's heavy snow in some parts of England and Wales, with elsewhere cloudy.
At present here in the Scottish Borders, we're under 4 inches of snow and there's a white-out as I write.

Re: NVA specs
It's not a silly comparison at all. By analogizing car driving I was comparing experience. Listening and driving are both subjective experiences. When driving or listening you are (objectively) blind. The fact that car companies or hi-fi companies tell lies is shameful but in the context of this arg...

Re: Is seeing believing?
When I was at (then) Manchester Poly, experimantal subjects were offered green, white, brown and blue bread. NO difference in taste, just in appearance. Some students threw-up after eating green bread and the blue was untouched. Sugden kit is audibly fine (IMO), but the combination of green, orange ...

Re: NVA specs
I'm not totally convinced that specs. per se don't play a part in an objective assessment of an electronic product. Yes Richard, I agree that using ones ears is the only true path to enlightenment. But some people (rightly or wrongly) initially judge a product on specifications of a given current th...

Have any of these characters put forward any scientific measurements or explanations as to how these gizmos actually work?
I realise NVA kit is a bit off-the-wall, but at least there's a sound scientific basis to the designs.
